WE SUPPORT THE SERENGETI DE-SNARING PROGRAMME

Due to the simplicity and low cost of snares, snaring is a favoured method by poachers. The Serengeti National Park (SNP) runs its own de-snaring programme. With assistance from the Frankfurt Zoological Society and tour operators in the Serengeti, one 8-man team operates in the SNP. Between April and October 2017, 7 331 snares have been removed – showing just how pervasive these snares are.

From December 1st 2017, Wild Frontiers will donate 1 USD per bed night at all our camps in the Serengeti. We don’t cut corners when it comes to our guests, and we don’t compromise on protecting the environments in which we operate. By choosing to stay with us, you will be contributing significantly to the Serengeti’s de-snaring programme.

STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSE’S MOUTH

The Serengeti through our guests eyes

The Serengeti surely ranks on most travellers list of ‘Places to see before I die’. We’ve been bringing the secrets of the Serengeti to our guests for over 2 decades. Knowing where to be, when, is the biggest secret to the ultimate Serengeti Safari. With our seasonal camps, we place you in the right place, at the right time. We know this area intimately, and our team delight in bringing you an affordable safari experience, coupled with attentive service, great food and intimate camps set in the heart of wild Africa.

Here’s what some of our recent guests have to say:

“STAY HERE YOUR ENTIRE SAFARI”
Upon your arrival, you are greeted by the camping staff who are ridiculously polite. Free wifi, crisp cotton sheets and towels, and a delectable hot meal. A Masai guard patrols the grounds at night to ward off animals. During my stay, I was woken around 2am to a zebra being attacked and eaten by lions; about 12 meters from our tent. What a wonderful place!! Highly recommend!

“WISH WE STAYED LONGER”
My family and I stayed here for just one night of our Safari in the Serengeti, and we wish we stayed longer! The service was incredible, food was homemade and lovely, and the facilities were pristine. Our tent (with an en-suite bathroom and hot showers!) was the most impressive of all. Thank you for an amazing stay!!

“A VERY COMFORTABLE CAMP”
A lovely camp and good value for money. The tents are spacious and comfortable, and the staff extremely accommodating. Lovely to hear the hyenas giggling and lions roaring at night.

“BEAUTIFUL PLACE AND GREAT SERVICE”
This camp was really comfortable and a great place to stay while seeing the great migration on the Mara River nearby. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay!
