Serengeti North Wilderness Camp logo

Serengeti North Wilderness Camp is a ‘seasonal’ camp located in the north of the Serengeti National Park, a short distance from the banks of the Mara River. Seasonal camps have the benefit of being able to move to some of the best game viewing areas of the park, and we work under strict guidelines with the camp being truly eco-friendly.

Comprising just twelve spacious tents, we provide comfortable beds and quality linen, with en suite flushing toilet and ‘bush shower’.  Lighting is by 12-volt (solar powered) with bedside lamps provided.  The tents each have a shady verandah.

An airy, central dining tent complements our comfortable lounge tent which has a small reference library, maps, some games for children and a recharging facility for cameras and videos. Our safari chef will prepare sumptuous meals for your enjoyment.  Evenings offer a typical safari campfire around which our guests enjoy sundowners and snacks, and relive the day’s experiences.

We provide a friendly, intimate quality tented bush camp, with good facilities in an amazing area, with due respect for this fragile ecosystem.

“We visited the northern part of Serengeti last year and stayed at the Serengeti North Wilderness Camp for two memorable nights at that time. We decided to stay a little longer this time, for three nights, and once more were regaled from the moment of our arrival. This is a non-permanent camp, so we were not at the same place as last year.  The service was excellent, and, despite the difficulty of supplying such a remote location, the food was very good. Try to be here in July or August, to witness the wildebeest migration, as we did.”

Raul - Paris - FranceReturn to our favourite place

“This place is fantastic. We got to stay in semi luxury tents, including private bathroom and toilet facilities (our favourite as we could have complete privacy and still lie in bed listening to nature all around us) but we also got to enjoy the “glamping” experience. A large king sized bed, private toilet and bathroom, and plenty of personal space. We got to enjoy all the home comforts, whilst also experiencing the best that nature could provide. This is a mobile camp, so the exact location changes year to year, but they are always positioned in prime position for animal viewings. The staff, including the Askari, are all fantastic. Loads of fun, and really willing to interact and share with the guests. Nothing is too much trouble, and they really make each person feel at home, whilst still feeling special.”

C Crouchie - Sydney - AustraliaLoved the place and the staff

“Wow, what a beautiful setting, we stayed for 2 nights, and then had 3 nights at Serengeti North Wilderness camp.  The tents are discreetly placed away from your neighbour, to allow for sufficient privacy and are gloriously decked out, with very comfortable Kingsize bed, headboard with reading lamps, a solar torch, and a whistle should you need to blow the alarm, plenty of bottled water in your room, as well as extra blankets and pillows should you need, a small hanging cupboard takes care of the gamedrive warm clothes.”

Mandy - Buderim - AustraliaLuxury tent accommodation in the bush

“If you like to awake in your comfortable king sized bed with hot shower, flushing toilet and most of the creature comforts of home and listen to the lions, elephants, hyenas and water buffalo whilst your morning tea / coffee is delivered to your tent this place is for you. The tent is, as my wife pointed out, bigger and more comfortable than some hotel rooms we have stayed in and the bed certainly was”

Bennie - Melbourne - AustraliaSimply amazing
